Simply put, we wanted an iPhone application that would allow us to discover and purchase tickets to events easily and quickly. When we looked for this application we could not find it. So, we went ahead and built it ourselves.
Deoji (pronounced “Dee-OH-G”) gives you a simple way to find what is happening around you anytime and gives you access to local shows like never before. With the video-enabled event listings you can preview the show, the band or just view a video message of the artist themselves to help make a decision if it worth going. Once you decide to go it is very easy to enter your payment method once* and buy tickets with a few taps anytime you want.
Even better is the fact that we do NOT charge an arm and leg for “service and facility fees” like some other ticketing sites. The price displayed for the ticket is the price you pay!! Yes, we do add 10% on top of what the venue charges but part of that is to pay for handling the transaction (i.e. running the servers, processing the credit card) and 5% of that goes to charity (see About Us). So either way when you buy a ticket you help yourselves, the artists and local venues and many others.
So here is how to start with Deoji. Download the application from the iTunes App Store and install it on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Then watch the videos on how to buy tickets, set up payment method, set up Facebook connect and more. It is very easy to do and quite fun. Then start buying tickets and let other venues in your area know that you use Deoji. Encourage them to join us and provide you access to their shows!

* All your credit card information is encrypted and stored on your iPhone or iPod Touch only! The key to decrypt this information is held on our server and we only use it when you send us your credit card information. Once the purchase is made, we immediately discard any of your payment information.
